Book-uh Gook a.k.a. Dried pollack slices (whiting fish) soup is a good thing to have on those cold mornings and nights. It is also said to make you feel better after a night of drinking to eradicate awful hangovers. It tastes good too.
With 7 super easy ingredients (in bold texts), finish in 15 minutes...
What you need:
1. Half pound of Dried whiting slices, soaked in water (1min), rinse and squeeze out. Throw it in a heated non-stick pan on a medium high setting.
2. Pour in 2 tablespoons of sesame oil. Stir. Stir. (About 3 mins)
3. As soon as fish turns a little golden brown, put in about 5 cups of water and boil for 10 minutes.
4. While waiting for water to bubble, put 1 teaspoon minced garlic, 1 teaspoon Dashida (Beef flavor soup stock only available at oriental stores)
5. The last 2 mins would be pouring one beaten egg mixed with sliced scallion as a finishing touch for the soup.
By now it would look similar to an egg drop soup.
And you're done. Enjoy your meal! 맛있게 드세요!
P.S. I'll post a photo if i don't forget taking one :j

Hi friend, have a nice saturday :)
Yummy. I could whip one up right now, since it's still chilly here in the mornings.
I'll have to look for dashida the next time I head to an oriental store. ;)
@Mikelle you do the same!
@Bchai Yes, i have quite a lot of good use with the Dashida. And it tastes great with "sabaw na baka" with all the pechay and chayote... if you still remember that dish? yumm...
